Whelping Puppies soon
 
I love reading everyone's whelping stories, so I thought I would post ours. My Biewer is going to deliver this week. I am so excited!:) She lost her mucus plug this morning. Her temp is at 99.8 :animal-pa I will keep you posted as she progresses.

Oh wow, the best of luck to you & your mommy to be! Any new news yet? Sounds like it could be any time now. I am in the final stages of rearing my first Biewer litter; 4 pups- two are in their forever homes, 2 still searching. You are going to absolutely LOVE this experience, I guarantee it! Can't wait to here your exciting announcement of their birth and of course, for pictures! :D

Mommy is doing well, her temp has stayed around 100 degrees, so I am waiting for the rise and drop in temperature. She is still eating. Although she is done doing steps. She really wants to stay near me and if I run up and down the steps she is just stopping and waiting for me. If I take too long for her she will bark.

I will keep you posted.

Good luck with the whelping. Mine have gone 5-6 days after losing the plug before babies come. What day she is on?

We are on day 59 from the first tie. She is doing so well I think she may make it to the full 63 days. She still plays a little and gets a good nights sleep along with naps through out the day.

My girl is doing great. She had 1 girl and 4 boys. She has become an excellent mother. The pictures below are of a couple of her babies.

I can't wait to see your babies. Keep us posted. this is such an exciting time for you. I know the days, hours and minutes you wait for your baby to deliver feels like years. I used to tease my girl and ask her if her babies could come out to play. I am usually online at night. So if you need someone to talk to I'll be here. However, I have little experience in delivery. I could at least be here to cheer you and your girl on.:aimeeyork

Today is day 60. Lyndzi's temp has maintained around 100 degrees. I noticed the area around her vulva is starting to swell. I know we are getting closer to whelping day. Maybe we will see the spike temp in tomorrow.

Lyndzi is still maintaining her temp around 100 degrees. She has woken up in the middle of the night two nights in a row. She just wimpers or a soft bark. When I sit up and pet her, she's fine. I think she is trying to prepare me for a middle of the night delivery.

I have updates...
Lyndzie starting barking and looking at me even though I was sitting in the chair next to her. She is now laying in her whelping box and fixing her bed to prepare for the furbabies.
I took her temp and it is on the rise, it is at 101. I will check again soon and see if she starts to drop.
I am sure we will have puppies within the next 24 hours.

Yay!! good job mommy. I hear that there is two boys, any more? We want to see those beautiful pictures. And I cannot believe she spiked and dropped temp so fast and is delivering. The puppies must have been ready to play. i am soooo excited for you and your new family additions.:D
