Just wanted to wish you luck! Remember that yes, there are many negative stories but there are also many positive ones. Let's hope everything works out well for you and your girl. I believe that it's one of the most amazing experiences aside from the birth of my own children. And remember, women die in childbirth too but most of us don't. |

How is the little momma doing today??? |
Nothing... same thing, will do her temp in a lil while... will keep everyone updated, thanks |
&&& we're on puppy watch... Yalee's temp was just checked & shes dropped to 97.9, I will check her again in 2-3 hrs... It looks like its time. |
Is she showing any signs of labor yet besides the temp?? |
@Sara- She was restless at night, she wouldnt stop moving from the top of the futon to under the futon, I checked her temps once at night which went back up at 98.8 & now this morning its right back upto 99.8... so I guess her body is also playing mind games with the temp. All she wanted to do is cuddle with me through out the night, so she would come cuddle til i fell asleep & then she would go to my feet for a little while & then get down. Eventually by 430ish she cuddled & stayed on the futon the rest of the night... so who knows what will happen, I know the puppies havent stopped moving all night. I will stay updated. |

First time was Monday 14th. She started crying around 1 a.m. and very restless... a lot of movement from the pups inside her and it looked like she had contractions, also a little white-ish discharge from the vulva but by 4 a.m. and after I spent time checking on her and caressing, she didn't want me away, she finally relaxed and fell asleep with me. I took her to the vet at noon 15th for x-rays to see how the litter was and it showed 3 big healthy pups ready to be born anytime. This day she was all back to normal playing, eating, barking and scolding her siblings. lol Now today 17th again at 2 am went through the same episode, crying, walking around, hiding in corners and then coming to me for comfort. Slept again and is back to normal, playing with her siblings and eating. Pups inside her move occasionally so I know they are fine, no strange discharge whatsoever. I'm going nuts because this girl seems to be afraid of labor and the vet told me c-section should be last resort since they all are perfectly fine and said I should wait at most until next Monday. But you can imagine how stressed I'm getting, her first litter and I tend to be overprotective. =/ |

So no puppies... but lots of nesting & being restless, this morning her temp is at 99.0... so a little higher but right at the borderline. She barely has slept, so when we got up in the morning & let her up on the futon she was trembling & of course now the panting is non stop... I just felt her belly & she feels pretty hard... I will be back with updated every couple of hours... Thanks for all the prayers, I think we're ready!!!! |

OK, I am now officially following this thread. Can't wait to hear the news and for pictures. I do have to say that I have learned so much from being on YT...the good, the bad and the ugly. If no-one posted the bad stuff then how are we to know what could happen. I take this forum as going back to school and have loved every minute of it. Thank you for all here. Again, I wish you the best and please keep us posted!! PS...Hi Sarah:):) |

Good luck!!!! Can't wait to hear about the birth of those beautiful babies!!! |
Good News! My Nina gave birth to 3 big chubby puppies at midnight! Each was born 20 minutes apart from the other and, wow! I never thought they could be big. Too bad I forgot to bring the scale back from my business to home (I had to carry the whelp kit back and forth as I would bring Nina to my family business to watch her all time). Hopefully I will ask my parents to bring it for me later so I can weigh them. Nina is a parti color mostly white with a bit of honey around her eyes and a grey tail, which looks like a cat's. :P The father is a traditional gold/black yorkie. She had 2 boys and 1 girl. First boy has a dark brown coat on the body which gets lighter at the head with a white mark on the chest and feet. Second boy looks like a traditional yorkie but with white spots on the feet, chest and in the middle of the forehead. I am so keeping this one. :) And last but not least, the girl has a dark brown all over with a little white on the pads. I am impressed at how good of a mother Nina is with her first litter. She delivered the pups in a single push and immediately cleaned them, she was so fast that I just was staring and only helped her holding the puppy when another arrived. I double checked their noses and mouth to suck out fluid after she licked them just in case and they were all thriving and happy. Only the girl, which came last, was breech and I helped by pulling her out since Nina began to clean her while the head was still in side and cut the umbilical cord (again Nina is a speedy mom). So I pulled the rest of the girl out and cleaned her face, sucked out the mucus which she had more than her brothers and voila. This girl has so much energy and made noises all night (non- to be scared of, just "eee" while crawling around bed and back to mommy). They all are doing great this morning. I have given Nina a little liver which she loves and devours, she cleaned pups again, fed them and now they sleep calmly beside her. They are very calm babies, only the girl is more whiny, just like Nina was when she was a puppy. Will post pics in a moment! |
congratulations!!! |

I spoke to my vet & I told her about the temps & she told me to stop doing the temp checks, doesnt look like its working, so she said just to be looking for the contraction/ pushing signs/symptoms & if after 2 hrs of pushing & no puppy then take her to the ER! So Ill just be checking her out... Ill BBL with more news. |
She was 63 days. I stopped the temp check on the third check (day 59) because it made Nina very upset and her temp was constant all the time, even with the previous labor symptoms. So I just prayed to God to allow me to witness when the real delivery happened and it did. I was looking at her all night and in a blink I fell asleep but woke up to a strange sound. It was Nina cleaning a big chubby puppy and I just waited for the placenta to come out. She really didn't need me at all for her labor. But one must keep an eye on them in any case. I know I was blessed, all that praying and asking friends to send good vibes on Nina's way I think helped. I believe having the most positive thoughts do an important part (even knowing it could be a nightmare). So hold to positive thinking, thank God or whatever you believe in for giving you a healthy mother and thank already for a good and smooth delivery. Not sure if you believe or have heard of the laws of attraction but it does work. You must focus in the good and don't fear so much because we attract what we focus on. Good luck with you babies!!! I will have them in my thoughts sending all possible light on their way! :) |
