| Because we are talking about studs Well now that we are on the subject of studs. My gal is in heat today, so I have had three breedings before and have watched the action and I know about what to do. But being that I am a first timer with my new male who is almost two, any advise that would help me along the way? My breeder goes from the day of swelling I know that some on here go from the first day of bleeding. WHat is the best. SHe also breeds day 11,12, and 13. I have heard some breeding 11, 13, and 15? Some input on that as well. Any other advise would help as well. Thanks, CHristina |

| My girl is in heat as well. From everything I have read, including reference books, these threads and research online most breeders breed their dams on the 9th-14th day of bleeding, with 2-3 good ties between the pair they usually called it good. My girl will be on her ninth day of bleeding on Monday. So I will let her tie with my male Monday (9th day), Wednesday (11th day), and Friday (13th day) just once. It gives both dogs rest inbetween so that neither will get tired. I will also have my husband holding one of the dogs to make sure that the breeding is complete and supervised. Good luck to you and I'm sure that both of us will be expecting puppies about the same time in October. Coty
