I am glad he is doing well and so sorry for the loss of your little girl. Please do not put that baby on goats milk. There are people on here that would argue with me but I switched a few days old baby to it based on advice given on here and my baby died. The vet said, no doubt it was the goats milk. I will never use it again and will do all I can to advise others not too. There are some people here that have had good results with it but my advice is if he is doing as well as you say, then leave him on what the vet has you giving him.

Dee, I remember you talking about that and for that reason I have been leery of using it but I know some swear by it. Did you feed it diluted with half goats milk and half water?

Great news he is gaining , I would not switch him for nothing if he is doing well
These little ones can be touchy and if he seems to be doing well I would leave him be, nutri drops would be good for him

Thank you everyone for your advise, I will leave him on the milk the vet gave me, he seems to be doing very well on it..

I will be keeping him on the vets milk, thanks for sharing..

Hooray that the little boy is doing so well; a bright spot to shed light on the sadness you feel over losing his mama. Of course you will miss her; alot for quite some time. A part of her will be in your heart forever and she will also be seen through her baby boy, hopefully for a long time to come.
We'd love to see a picture or two of him when you get a chance.

yes, I did and the puppy first took a small diarreha, then started swelling until it was almost transparent. She weighed 2 oz when she was born. She tried so hard to nurse her mama and I sat for hours holding her to the teat then had to supplement her. i first used esbilac and after a couple of days, a well now breeder on here told me to use the goats milk and how to fix it. My baby girl died two days later at seven days old. vet swears it was the goat's milk. barbara, you know some people on here will "swear" by anything. I ran the fading pup recipe and the home made injectables past my vet and he nearly had a fit.

I will get pictures soon.. He is at 3.7 ounces now and has gotten his tail and dew claws done..

I think about mama everyday and that pushes me harder to get up every few hours to feed the little guy.. He eats like a little beast and loves to cuddle inside his blankets just like his mama used to..

aww i am so glad to hear he is thriving...he will continue to be in my thoughts!

What do you mean by swelling? That is scarey..

I'm so glad to hear that he's thriving...but it also breaks my heart to hear you say such touching things about his mama. Hugs to you, & hope time will heal the pain of losing your baby girl. I'm sure he's filled the void, kinda bitter sweet. Looking forward to seeing pictures of the special guy.

Goats milk has really helped a lot of us here who used it. Maybe it wasn't the goats milk. Swelling can also be a sign of kidneys. Toxic. I'm just so sorry you had to lose him/her

Here are some pictures I took of him today. He's already acting like mama and sleeping on his back, its too cute! He loves his stuffed animals too, I guess its his instincts to cuddle with them like they are his siblings or mama :)
