Actually there is proof she sent out pups 5 times this year to the petstore. All anyone has to do is call the dept of agriculture in OK.

OK, first of all, maybe I was mistaken but I thought the OP was asking for opinions from people that had purchased and had first hand knowledge of Glenda and her puppies. Secondly, it is December of 2008, when you speak of Glenda's puppies and problems, the incident you speak of was in 2004, at least 4 years ago and lastly, as heartbreaking as it may have been, I don't think a 20 month old pup that dies of cancer would be covered under any breeders guarantee. Most guarantees that I have seen only cover 1 year and cover only congenital problems. I think the subject of Glenda Beavers has been beat to death...and as I have stated before, I don't understand why - nor do I really care to find out. I think there are a lot of people that post that are WAY too judgemental, that are not trying to be helpful, and people that live in glass houses should not throw stones ~ but I am just trying to defend someone that has always been extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and has always been available to answer any questions I have had about the sweet, beautiful babies that I have gotten from her. I just want to keep my side of the street clean and not take everyone else's inventory.

I think the answer must be obvious. There is no proof since 2004, that anyone has come up with (and I'm sure these people have tried) that she has had any problems with her puppies. Or at least I haven't seen any. I'm sure that this will just challenge someone to look even harder and deeper to prove me wrong, because for some reason they want to find some real dirt on Glenda.

Do you know how she dealt with it? There was no followup to the letter that was posted. Let's stick to the facts.

The 8 week old puppies she brokered to a pet store were within the past couple of years and there were several shipments. GB knows what it takes to be a reputable exhibitor breeder and brokering puppies to a pet store is not something any reputable exhibitor breeder would ever do

This isn't the witch hunt you've proclaimed it to be. I, along with many others have always had positive things to say about GB and her yorkies. Once the ugly truth is known though it's impossible to pretend she is reputable, just for the sake of playing nice on a forum.

You that promote her, and others that continue to buy her puppies hopefully can live with your conscience, knowing that you've supported what is essentially a puppymill.

The issue I had with the statement was that the poster said that they were her pups that were shipped. Glenda said she shipped someone else's pups. We went through this on another thread, and the clarification is there.

I there a breeder code of ethics, & if so what does it have to say about this matter?

If it was someone else that was not as well known, how would YT members behave toward this breeder? I have seen breeders butchered for smaller stuff then this so I am curious what is the most important thing in a well known show breeder's home? IS it the health, the homes, the money, or championing one out? I never read the liver shunt issue on GB. Also why would GB recommend posting on YT? I do question GB's methods, but whom I am I to question any breeder. She does have beautiful dogs, but really does the look matter that much when we are talking about the well being of each and every puppy. There was also a breeder on here that was highly recommended then things became UGLY and everybody jumped on board with each other, maybe this will happen...so hopefully all of this will be proven or disaproven, i.e. video tapes, vet records, puppies owners.

I don't know all of the politics of being a reputable breeder or exhibitor...I was just trying to answer the OP's original question. I do have first hand knowledge of dealing with Glenda and having two of her puppies from different litters. The puppies are beautiful, happy and very healthy. Glenda has always been helpful, knowledgeable and available for any and all of my questions. I think it is a far reach to call Tsa La Gi a puppymill, but you, like everyone on this forum are entitled to your opinion.

Okay, say they weren't her pups(which I still have my doubts), if you were a breeder, and say I was one too, and we were friends, and I asked you to ship my puppies to a petstore, would you? And, if they weren't her pups, then why didn't the person whos pups they supposedly were, send them herself?

Read that. The key word is sold . There is no proof pups were sold to a pet store. If you use the word shipped, I have no issue with the statement.

Normally when one is shipped it means sold, not given away in the breeder world

So, you really didn't answer my question. Why didn't this supposed other lady ship her own puppies? would you ship my puppies for me to a petstore(if I had any to ship)? I sure wouldn't do it for anyone, because, as I've said, a good breeder never has to sell to a petstore.

I think you are splitting hairs there...cause the puppies certainly weren't GIVEN to the pet store.

I respectfully disagree. Show us the proof that they were sold. If they were indeed sold there should be a bill of sale or some proof of sale.

Look I don't have the so called Proof, however two people made money off the sale of these puppies. Breeders do not just give their puppies away and someone else comes in scoops them up and the airline ships for free. So basically with that said, possible 3 people were involved including the airline. Now if GB pocketed the money I have no idea, did she pay for shipping I have no idea..........it is weird that there was yorkies involved, so does that mean the pet store bought a bunch of puppies out the newspaper and GB paid out of her pocket for shipping? I have no idea. But shipping and sold goes hand in hand when we discuss shipping a animal. If not then I ask a well known breeder to step up and give me a yorkie and ship him for free. He will be loved and adored just as much as Chino is and get this he will not be caged or fed one time a day and he will always walk on the grass to get the great puppy joy out of being outside. So please ship me a puppy does not matter if 4-9 lbs, he will forever have home with us. Thank you

Personally I hate the fact that ANYONE ships puppies to pet stores. If there wasn't any shipping...there wouldn't be any puppies at any pet store.

IMO I don't understand what the argument is here :confused:..I think we all agree that shipping or selling to a pet shop is dispicable.

I don't care if she gave, sold, bartered or whatever, the puppies to the pet store, the fact remains that she provided a pet store with puppies. And, no ethical, reputable, exhibitor breeder would ever, for any reason provide a pet store with puppies

Seems you want to split hairs on some facts to justify your considered purchase of one of her pups.:confused: Why do you continue to ignore the fact that she did supply a pet store with puppies. The fact that she did in itself would be enough for me to stay away from this breeder. There are many other reputable breeders to buy a pup from, why would you support a pet store broker?

If people didn't buy puppies from pet stores the problem would be solved.

I am interested in dealing with facts. Suppose, hypothetically, we could be sued for slander for the negative statements we make on a public forum. Wouldn't you be more careful about the words you use to discredit someone?

So, it's not okay to buy from a pet store but is perfectly acceptable to buy from the breeder that is supplying the pet store with puppies :confused: Either way you are supporting a disreputable breeder, and perpetuating the suffering of dogs.:(

There you go again. How do you know the dogs are suffering. They may be in very nice homes, well taken care of, happy, and making their owners satisfied.

Just for everyone\'s information. I was just trying to answer the OP\'s original question. I do have first hand knowledge of Glenda Beavers and her puppies. I do not think she needs me to defend or support her. Her product stands on it\'s own. I am looking at it right now. I just told my story, the truth. I sleep very well at night and my conscience is clear. I bought from a different breeder the first time, one which I found no negative feedback on, and I had horrible and very expensive health problems with my precious baby girl...so when I did do even more research, and came up with Glenda\'s information, I have had no complaints. The puppies have NEVER been sick, they are happy, healthy and beautiful. That is the end of it. I don\'t want to get into the ethics and politics of breeding and showing and exhibiting...I don\'t think that is what the OP was asking. Maybe we should all stick with the subject matter that was originally asked.
