Positive on Tsa Li Gi!!! I posted this in the breeder section also...but wanted to post a copy here! I would like to report my experience with Glenda Beavers and Tsa La Gi. I bought a precious female yorkie 3/31/08 from a breeder / broker in Houston - NOT TSA LA GI. We spent the first weekend that we had her in the emergency hospital trying to find out why she was lethargic, unresponsive and a very, very sick little girl. She ended up having giardia, coccidia and was having hypoglycemic episodes. The hospital gave us three options: 1) leave her there to try and stabilize her further ~ we had already spent $2500.00 on a puppy that we had only had 3 days, and they estimated another $3,000.-$4,000. 2) put her "down" or 3) the ultimate test...bring her home and try to keep her alive....I opted for #3, and got up with her every 2 hrs and syringe fed her baby food and she survived. The reason I tell this story is to let everyone know that after that episode, I did my homework before I bought another yorkie puppy in August. I did as much research and calling and referencing as I could. The same name kept popping up - Glenda Beavers and Tsa La Gi; after several phone conversations and emails with Glenda at Tsa La Gi, I knew she was who I would get my next puppy from. I got the most precious, healthy male you have ever seen on August 1, of this year. I had him shipped to Texas, and when I opened his crate he came bouncing out and has not stopped since. He has only had to go to the vet one time (other than shots) and it is because he ate part of a sock that came out when he went to the bathroom and I got scared! This puppy has the most wonderful personality and disposition of any I've ever seen. He was so easy to housebreak....he has brought such joy to our lives....so much so, that I bought my daughter a male from Glenda last month! This is her Christmas present from us. She is a third year medical student and I knew she would not have time for a dog that had problems or that was hard to train. This puppy, too, has a spectacular personality, is totally healthy, and is almost 100% housebroken in 3 weeks! To those that think and will say that this sounds like a "paid advertisement" - all you have to do is have one of Glenda's dogs, and I think you would feel the same. The report that was posted above is over 4 years old and is awful for that poor little guy, but I do think that was along time ago and the only complaint I have ever heard from anyone that has one of her Yorkies! I have no reason to tell you anything but the truth. I will never show or breed any of these dogs ~ I just wanted happy, healthy puppies and that is certainly what we have gotten with these last two! By the way ~ I still have my darling little girl and would not trade her for the world, but she is very fragile and has to be hand fed twice a day, and is still under 3 lbs. We are not inexperienced dog owners; we have imported several titled dogs from Germany and I grew up in an animal household - my father was a vet. I hope I have helped with your original question! Good luck with whatever decision you make....but from personal experience, I don't think you would be disappointed with one of her beautiful, happy, healthy puppies! |

Pleae do not believe that just because a breeder is a YTCA member that it makes them "reputable". Trust me, I got burned. You're best bet is to go meet your breeder, see all of the dogs and living arrangements. Make sure you get an excellent health guarantee. |

http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/bre...l-yorkies.html As I said before, I'm currently discussing the purchase of a pup with Glenda. I've asked a lot of questions, asked for photos, and she not only sent the photo shots I asked for, but a video too. She has been very helpful, answered all of my many questions to my satisfaction, and is pleasant & professional. |

OP Someone insinuated that you was posting to stir trouble, I posted a link of a search that comfirms that indeed she's been posted about good and bad alot, not just following recent "enlightenment". http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sea...archid=3333937 |

I am not sure who is insinuating that I am starting trouble. I am just trying to find a reputable breeder. I spoke with Glenda yesterday evening and she would not give me any references. She stated that she has sold many puppies and that I should call the AKC and inquire on YT. That is all I am doing. Please do not pull me into any of the craziness that occurred on the other threads. I just wanted to know what people think. You can easily just give me an opinion without commenting on someone else's post on this thread. I appreciate everyone's opinion and am so happy that people were able to tell me about Glenda and her puppies (bad opinions and good opinions). My decision has been made not to go with her due to my personal experience with her. I am happy for all of you who have babies from her and are happy and sorry that people dont like her. We all can not agree collectively on everything. Lets just leave it at that. Again, I am not stirring up trouble....I was told by GLenda to inquire on YT about her. :D |
This makes as much sense as the last thread:thumbdown |

What is your problem??? If you want to start trouble kindly start your own thread! Thumbs down to you! |

apparently you have nothing better to do with your time.. :thumbdown and while were at it.. WHY is so hard for you to believe anything that anybody has to say about this woman??? She shipped puppies that were to small to a PET STORE that she stated so herself and now she is trying to sell the OP a puppy with an underbite was not curitous to her and refused to tell her any info that she was requiring about.. IMHO.. (not that it matters) she sounds very fishy to me and I would NO WAY ever buy a dog from her. oh.. excuse the spelling mistakes.. TO the OP, good luck with your search, Im soon you will find that perfect puppy soon. :D Have a greeeaaat night everyone..:) |

Thank you so much!! I have no idea what that member's problem is and I found her very rude!! This is supposed to be a forum where we can ask questions and be treated with kindness and respect, which she seems to lack! I appreciate everyone else's kindness. :bravo: |

Well, then that is fine and I didnt mean to upset you, but I think more than one person took offense to your post on this thread and in addition, the way you replied back to me was rude. This thread makes a lot of sense, I started it. I needed to know about this breeder and it has helped me make a decision, so yes, it is worth it and it does make sense. If you did not respond the way you did to me, I dont think we would have thought you rude. Glad everything is cleared. |

I really think this whole Glenda Beavers thing is ridiculous. These people have gone back so many years looking for anything negative to say about her - do they really think that they can go back that far and not find anything on anyone else? Come on now, then someone posts where there is a new puppy for sale; are all of you people going to jump on the bandwagon and go back 3, 4, maybe even 5 years to see if you can find something, anything wrong with her puppies to crucify her reputation, too? I don't really have a bone to pick with anyone in all of this...I have three beautiful puppies that I am extremely happy with, two that are from Glenda, and I am also intelligent enough to know that nature does play a part in all of this. If you breed, people as well as dogs, there will never be 100% perfection all of the time. If Glenda chooses to disclose a problem, ie. a bite that may be off, and decides not to discount for it, that is her prerogative...she was not trying to hide anything. What is up with everyone trying to destroy her reputation over an incident that happened over 4 years ago? I think her dogs are gorgeous, absolutely the happiest little puppies I've ever been around and I know this personally - not from something that I have read on some forum or heard from someone else....I find this, and the last few threads about Glenda, having a strong ring of jealousy to them. If someone knows something first hand, then by all means post it, if not, why would anyone want to ruin someone's hard work over a bunch of hearsay and unfounded personal opinions? I really just don't understand.....Oh, and by the way, I do think Glenda suggested that the OP ask people that had purchased puppies from her to respond...maybe that was because she wanted those that had real, first hand, true knowledge about her puppies to answer the question. Glenda Beavers will survive this attempted sabotage of her reputation - I know this because I hold the result of many years of her hard work in my hands right now. I also see it on her webpage when I look at all of her dogs. Like I have said before - I am not into breeding or showing, all I wanted was a happy, healthy, beautiful puppy ~ and that is what I got when I purchased from Glenda. |

Good luck on your search |
i do not want to add to the "GB controversy" but seeing as that the OP decided not to go with glenda, it might be best to just end this thread ;) it is kind of getting heated like the last one and really, i think the OP got the answers she wanted :) |

No, but the Liver Shunt puppy that she wouldn't stand behind was hers. Proof was posted. I know breeders can have problemss at some time or other. That is not the issue. The issue is howw the breeder dealss with it. Does she try to help the buyer and take steps to prevent it from happening again or does she run from the problem and keep breeding the same parents. |
