Hey! Good luck on the impending whelping; she sounds really close to delivery time, so better put the coffee on:D Wish I could stay up with you but I have to get up early for work tomorrow. I'll check back before I head for bed and first chance I get tomorrow. HAPPY WHELPING!

We have 3 puppies, and don't think there are any more. two girls, and one boy. the last girl was a tiny, wighing in at 2 oz. all are suckling, and doing good, momma's doing a great job...

I know i want one of the girls, and as of right now, I'd like the smaller black and white one. Can't wait to see their personalities though :D

Oh my goodness. I can't believe you were able to do that! I would have been so panicked, but good for you for helping out. Congratulations, and we can't wait to see pictures. Rereading this thread is like an exciting episode of a baby story, only better b/c it's a puppy story!

Those little babies are so, so cute! Please keep us updated with pics as they grown and change.....I'd imagine they'll be little fluff balls before we know it.

curious, dumb question i know, but how many toes do dogs have in their rear paws??? :animal-pa the male and the bigger female have 5?! I know one's a dew claw, but it's right next to their other 4 toes, and is the same size. The smaller girl, has a dainty dew claw, and is higher up than the rest of the toes i can clearly see the difference. hmm...:animal-pa

Hmm I went back and looked at his picture and his back feet do appear to have an extra digit. I have never seen this before. Do you think you can get a clearer picture of his back feet? I know...no easy task!

They all look like they are doing well! :)

Hey everyone, I just wanted to thank everyone again for all the very helpful info and advice. The shih tzu's turned 3 weeks today!! two of them already started to wable walk, and the boy is sooo sweet, he already walks over to me, wags his tail, and will lick my hand :D :D anyways, here are some pics of them, I took them this morning... :)

4. Their new "nursery" (I still have to figure out how to cover that cord!)

I know... lol.. I'm already attached to the little boy, and he's going with them, I get to keep both girls... They're moving into their new home in the begining of October. But the mom and the puppy are staying until they're all 8 weeks old...

They are getting cuter and cuter! You titled the second picture "my girl", but then said later that you get to keep both of the girls?? So, are you keeping both of them? What ever the case, they are all adorable; I'll check back in another week or so for more pictures.
