ok so i got a little space ready for Troy on saturday. i put a table up and covered it with blankets and put her whelping box in there. and i also placed a heating pad on one side cause it is mighty cold in my house for some reason... and she likes it!!!! i feel it will be soon!!!

OMG:eek: She looks about ready to explode! Poor girl...how much longer before the pups are due? For her sake I hope it's real soon.

Aw... I love swelly bellies! How many is she having again? By the looks of the pictures, she seems to not have enough nipples. I hope she has enough for the babies! Good luck!

well we couldn't get an exact date. vet said 2 wks then changed it to 1 week but that was tuesday. but to be on the safe side 2wks. sooo i'm guessing if she doesn't go tomorrow another week. its so hard to wait. but she is just getting bigger and bigger and not showing any signs of going into labor. but she sleeps a lot. so i just wait... it is getting so hard... i keep popin my head in to see if shes panting, diggin, anything...no change. just a lot of puppy movement and sleep! there are 5 puppies

she has 10. 2 are way up on her chest. i didn't shave them because they were up high and she wouldn't let me go higher. so i figured shes got 8 shaved so i think that will do. if not then i go ahead and get those 2. maybe she'll let me finish up now that i wouldn't have a lot to do.:D

Are you taking her temperature? I would start taking her temperature 3 times a day. Morning, Afternoon, and Evening. When you see it drop a whole degree or more and stay down she should deliver within 12-24 hours. It has always worked for my girls! My girls will also refuse food usually within 12 hours of delivery. She sure is ready to blow. Best of luck to you for a healthy, safe delivery!

i started taking her temp yesterday. it has been between 99.9 and 99.1. shes still eating and really doing all the normal stuff still. *sigh*

ryorkies~ when she FINALLY starts labor (lets pray i catch it) i will start a new thread... but for now i will post here!

i can hear her kind of whining... i guess thats what it is. its sounds like when she wants attention but very soft. she was panting last night. ichecked on her at 3 in the morning... she barely looked at me. shes been hanging out in her box. she got up to get some water and pee. didn't eat. her temp this morning was 98.9.

you think? i don't think so. shes just laying around. no nesting or anything. i took her temp again @ 3 and it was 99.7 i think we got a while. i took her out to get some fresh air(nice spring weather here! yay!). she hasn't been outside for a while. she just stayed under my legs. but didn't want to back in. i'll just keep watching and waiting!! *sigh*:snore:

I guess I was excited when I read that she had been panting and her temp had dropped... I guess I'll keep watching too.;)

How is she doing? Sometimes the temp will spike and then drop right before they are ready to deliver, but I have one female that did not seem to follow that rule and taking her temp was not a good indicator for me.

still no babies. she seems to be in a good mood this morning. last night she was very restless and a lot of panting. but as someone said i think she was just too warm. but now shes back to normal. i'll take her temp around 9am...

i know right!? i will never do this again. i will watch her like a hawk during her heats from now on. Walker was supposed to be living with my MIL so i didn't think i would have to worry about unplanned pregnancies. so this is my fault! :p and i ever decide to breed her again it will be under a watchful eye as well.
