I hope that this could apply to all the threads and not just the breeders ones. I've seen a few threads get pretty nasty and it really shouldn't have. |
Thank you for your post Kim. I feel bad because I got into a heated arguement today, and I apologize. But I agree with everything you said. |
this is why I don't visit that section anymore excellent post! |
thanks for the reminder..... i refrain from doing too much posting for fear of being bashed if i say the wrong thing!! i'm glad that things are being monitored so we can feel more confident about posting. |

I agree also. Though I did open my mouth a few times, I have always made my apologies. |
   THANK YOU!!!! :) ;) |

Excellent reminder. |
Kim thank you for your "Not So Gentle Reminder" -- what a timely thread! It would be awesome if this post was a gateway that you had to go through and click on "I Agree" each time you entered the breeder's section. Then those who did not follow the posting rules shouldn't be surprised when they are suspended/banned. Way to go! Thank you!!! |
Oh dear... I just hope all the drama has passed. I know a member has already been banned. I just hope it doesn't continue... |
Please review my first post in this thread again. We, here at YT, try to keep it informative and helpful but with all the nastiness and hateful posts here in the breeder section I have to be honest, if it were up to me I would DELETE the whole section, lucky for you admin won't let me. We have talked about possibly implementing new rules in the breeder section which would result in serious suspensions/banning or allowing only experienced breeders to reply to posts. We wish these ideas weren't necessary and they are not. If you cannot reply with fact based, helpful information then don't. It's really just that simple. This section is consistently the most reported and cruelest section we have and I don't know why. We have so many experienced breeders here that no longer post or in some cases don't even want to be members anymore. I find that particularly sad and a detriment to yorkietalk. Please think before you post and remember everyone was new at one time. Thank You~ |

Well said! |
 Moderating this forum must be excruiating at times. I try to stay out because I have no breeding experience. But I have a lot of people experience. People come here as an alternative to/in addition to/before speaking to a vet. So maybe making it a "clinical forum" with different rules, responses would be more in line with how an experienced vet would communicate them. In those convrsations, most vets wouldn't be judgemental and most clients would not be defensive. I think it would be sad to have to do that tho. Thanks for never giving up! |
