I want to preface this by saying i hate yorkies. I think they are entitled, loud, overly-confident, hard-headed, and generally pathetic rodent like creatures. It is ecspecially sickening when owners put ribbins in their hair to make the rat chasing creatures appear "cute".

However, this kind of abuse is wrong, ecspecially with the little kid watching. I want this breed of dog to be exstinct, but abuse is something that cannot be tolerated. Hopefully, this woman will not try this abuse on any other breed of dogs.

I'm glad you share the opinion that cruelty is wrong.

I'm not sure what your intention was behind your first paragraph, but I'll let it go and chalk it up to the fact that it was actually related to something else entirely.

OMGoodness....you sound so very bitter towards the yorkie breed. At sometime in your life did someone choose their yorkie over you?;)

It is sad you feel that way regarding yorkies. They are a great little dog. Not for everyone I quess Your general perception of them is incorrect though. Mine never wear clothes and they are outdoorsy active dogs that are part of our active lifestyle. Not all yorkies are purse puppy fru fru dogs. Mine arent loud or hard headed either they are eager to please

Oh my god. Oh my God. I am in tears right now. I swear it. I don't think any dog deserves to be mistreated or neglected. I had a dream last night that my dog got ran over from running out into the streets. It happened to a pup I had as a kid. Now I watch this video and couldn't even finish it. This makes me appreciate my Mya even more. I was talking about dog neglect with someone yesterday. About the the that got torched and tortured. OMG. I this video's gonna stick with me all day.

I refuse to watch this video....why watch something that is going to imprint on your mind and emotions for the rest of your life? I know you have absolutely unbelieveably cruel people out there, that do horrific things to defenseless children, seniors, disabled people-both emotionally and/or physically, as well as loyal, loving pets....I dont have to watch such acts being carried out to realize it happens. ...My real concern and attention is directed at what follows:......"I want to preface this by saying i hate yorkies. Why would ANYONE intentionally go to a site or forum that is obviously dedicated to a specific breed, and then belittle, insult, ridicule, and attempt to humiliate devoted owners as well as the breed? Maybe a little passive/aggressive behavior going on there? Kind of like climbing into a bear's den, and poking it with a stick, dont you think? Trying to deliberately incurr the anger and wrath of admirers of this particular breed? Uncalled for, unsolicited, and unkind behavior, directed at people you do not know, and dogs you want nothing to do with, and dispise, just to express a feeling you have??? That film was made by someone who obviously feels the same toward these little dogs, as you do....you just have different ways of expressing it. Your post would have been more effective and had more honesty if it had been directed at the person beating that little dog to death. You dont have to tell ANYONE on this site, that the act was wrong....we know that. Tell someone that hates these little dogs as much as you apparently do.

Before writing this, I want to remind everyone that like I stated in my first post, I think that the torture of that yorkie in the video was wrong and the woman should be punished by the law.

With that being said, this forum is called yorkie talk. I felt like when i joined I could discuss my thoughts on yorkies good or bad. I am not personally insulting anybody or using abusive language. In retrospect, I should have separated my denouncment of the abuse video and my declaration of hatred towards yorkies. Believe me, the two are completely unrelated.

With this being said, my distain for yorkies is not related to "somebody choosing a yorkie over me", or them being "little purse pets" as some people on here have suggested. I love all dogs, but I am excluding yorkies. I do not consider them dogs. I am assuming everyone on here knows how the yorkie breed came about, so I will spare you the history lesson. I have noticed that a majority of yorkies dont listen, they do what they want, the bark loudly whenever they want, and the start sh*t with humans and other dogs.

Im not trying to insult owners of yorkies who love their yorkies, just like i love my dog. I just want to share my opinion that yorkies are rodent like creatures who were breed for chasing rodents, and they dont listen and are extremely entitled. In addition, they are ugly creatures that get ribbons put in their hair.

I would appreciate hearing all points of view, as this forum is called yorkie talk.

Maybe this is why I love my yorkies more than any other breed I've ever had - they're just like people! :D

Obviously, you cut my first post in half. As I said the abuse in the video was wrong. Just because I dont consider yorkies dogs, doesnt mean I enjoy their abuse. Do not demagogue me and put me in the same category as that woman. I was under the impression this forum was called yorkie talk, and i was free to share my thoughts on yorkies.

When people don't like something they usually don't go looking for groups of people who love it so they can tell them how much they despise it. Yes, this is a message board so go ahead and talk about how you should be able to give your hateful opinion freely, but come on...don't act as if your intention is innocent and you can't understand why people would be defensive and not pleased as punch with your post. You posted it knowing the reaction you were going to get. That is what you were looking for.

I was stating my opinion, that is, I could not understand why someone, who by their own admission, has such a disdain for yorkies, would search out this forum, which is "all things yorkie"....This is YorkieTalk, where we all share our MUTUAL LOVE for this delightful breed....I dont believe I have ever read a post on here from someone "sharing my thoughts on Yorkies", and the thoughts were all hateful and negative! Kind of like going to an ice cream parlor and telling everyone how much you hate ice cream!!! Not much point in it!!! Certainly not going to impress anyone in the ice cream parlor, and while you have every right to do such a stupid thing, dont be surprised if people think you are intentionally trying to excite and inflame emotions in the parlor! Meanwhile, wishing you a very warm welcome to YorkieTalk, where we all consider the Yorkie to be best thing since sliced bread! While your self proclaimed disgust for what we all hold so dear to our hearts and souls, is rather out of place in this forum, hopefully you will have other valuable contributions you can make to the site, and will expound on them rather than standing in the middle of yorkie lovers and declaring your hatred for these precious, devoted, loving, loyal, little dogs....we all are open to learning from anyone, any accurate, valuable information, in any variety of topics or subjects! I can tell you that Yorkies CAN be trained & they DO listen but there is a special trick to it, You Have to be SMARTER then the dog your training.;)

Are you freekin serious? You come on a forum with people who are passionate and love yorkies and you spew this ridiculousness. What kind of dog do you have, just curious. We do agree on something, I don't consider my yorkies dogs either they are members of my family.

I can't watch at all and want. In fact I can't even read the comments on here. The only thing I can say is she has children? WTH does she do to them. Any other comments about this witch would prolly get me thrown off YT.

It must be easy to critize someone you disagree with. I just have a different opinion then you about yorkies, after all this is yorkie talk. I just consider them to be overly loud, spoiled, cocky, ugly, annoying vermin. Although I wish yorkies didnt exist, I dont agree witg their abuse.

You said above you love all dogs, then said you hate yorkies. So, you don't love all dogs; leave it at what's true - you can't have it both ways. Also, you're saying that yorkies start sh*t w/ humans and other dogs? Um, kettle black? I think you are doing exactly what you claim to disdain above. Interesting.

Thanks yorkiemom1 for the welcome. I didnt search out this forum but randomly saw it. Its good to have a place to discuss my absolute disgust for the yorkie vermin. I didnt see a ban against ppl who hated yorkies, so I thought my thoughts would be considered as well. I like all dogs except yorkies. I like big and small and even silky terriers. I look forward to hearing all opinions about the vile yorkie.

Its easy to gang up on the dissenting opinion. But I disagree with the abuse of yorkies, I just hate them and wish they were exstinct. Im not purposely trying to get a reaction, im just discussing my opinions o yorkie talk.

Lots of people don't like them, so what? You've said you don't like them, we heard you, why must you repeat that over and over?

@nancy1999. Im just trying to defend my right to be here. To say ppl have me say I hate yorkies, so I have nothing else to talk about is ridiculous. Its like me saying weve heard u say u love yorkies, so what. There are many aspects to our love and hatred of yorkies. For example, I hate the entitled look the creatures have when the are barking at someone. Be open minded and except other views.

You don't need to defend your right to be here; I don't defend my right to be here. I'm just saying we know you hate them, I didn't say that you have nothing else to talk about, feel free to talk about something else. Also feel free to start you own thread about all the ways you hate Yorkies, but don't hijack someone else's thread, it's not considered polite.
