I wish there was some way we can honor this beautiful yorkie that never received the love that our littles ones get every day. I can't stop thinking about her. Even though I only watch just 15 seconds of it. It had such an impact on me. It hurts so much knowing this little one probably was beaten the whole time she was with this monster.



Rest in Peace little one. You no longer have to suffer. You are in a beautiful place where you will only know love. No one will ever hit you again.

I'm new on here and leave it to me to start off with this... I saw what was just wrote about the video this morning..I have been upset all day long crying ..I just feel so bad ..I just dont understand how anyone could do it or watch her do it..Just makes me sick to think someone sat there watching her do this and video it..and not stop her..That person is gonna have to see that the rest of there life and know they did nothing to stop her

I just watched on Brazilian News the video where the neighbor who filmed the cruelty against the yorkie, stating she decided to record the video and report it, because they couldn't take seeing the dog hurt and being beat every day anymore. They said the abuse was a daily thing, and that she only had the dog for 2 months.

The saddest thing for me, was when they said the dog was still alive after that video was made, and was nearly 2 days without being fed. [without water as well] and the video contains images of 2 different days recorded. The dog was in pain and suffering all along, for a long while. When the neighbor called the police, and they arrived at the Nurse's house, the dog was still alive, but in critical conditions, they said. As a brief moment that the police officer goes outside to call up other officers, the Nurse, Camila, takes the dog to the laundry area, and finishes killing her by strangling it to death with the dogs own leash. By the time the officer gets back inside and looks for the dog, he finds the dog dead.


The Neighbor also says that multiple times, they went over to the Nurse's apt to complain to her husband about the mistreating on the animal, but he doesn't listen, stating that the dog is "hard work" and tells them not to invade their privacy. The neighbor also states that the Owner of the Apartment building is threatening her because she reported the Nurse, and said "If Camila wanted to killed her dog, she had the right to, and no one should interfere".


This makes me so angry, I can't put in words. Even though it's sad that the poor yorkie died in a horrific way, I am glad she's in a better place now, and not suffering any longer, because as sad as it may sound, it's better for that poor doggy to be gone, than having to live with a monster like that and suffer for a long time [like she was]. My heart is so broken right now. :unlove:

Has anyone reported this monster to the Brazilian Nursing Association? If she thinks a little dog is a problem, I can only imagine what she considers much larger beings, humans, who are incapable of caring for themselves. Any patient left in her care is unsafe.

How horrible no wonder they were so afraid about filming it. From the facebook page "Now Vera who originally reported the crime is on the run too because the owner of the building beat her, her husband and her child who complained about the treatment of the dog. the child apparently is very bruised" They repeatedly complained about the abuse the dog was receiving every day and the abusers only had it for 2 months. OMG that poor baby. I thought she had abused it and then went and showered to account for the clothing change. I am now even more nauseous than I was before. I have signed the petitions and want to do more to help. Thank you to those who are keeping us informed and please let us know what we can do to help. I really do not understand how people can be so cruel to animals and other people. And to think that Vera has lost her home, her business for trying to help this dog.

This woman must be banned from ever owning a pet for the rest of her life. I fear so much for the child. If she isn't physically harming the child then surely her actions will turn this child into a monster just like her.

Florida Yorkie Rescue has been monitoring this case since we first learned of it. Due to the language barrier, the details surrounding this story continue to change slightly.

We have learned however, that this is not the first yorkie she has killed. Yes, there are several petitions going around and for those that think there is nothing we can do, please sign the petitions.

I have learned that Camilla Correa Alves was fined $1500.00. She did not lose custody of her child. She did not lose her nursing license, but I believe she did in fact lose her job. She has moved out of her home. She and her family are in hiding.

Everyone knows about her now... globally. They have posted her name, her date of birth, her address, all of her phone numbers, etc. Just about any personal information about this woman has been posted publicly. She has received over 40 death threats to not only herself, but to her family as well.

I believe she has paved the way for a very miserable future because there is no way she can escape the wrath that is coming down on her since the death of this precious yorkie.

I watched the video for about 10 seconds. Not because I was curious... but because it was early in the morning and someone posted it on our Facebook page... I thought it was a story about a yorkie that had died and when I clicked onto it I could see a yorkie was clearly being tortured. I quickly deleted the connection. I too was tormented by the horrific images it only took seconds to see. I do not recommend that anyone see this video. It will affect you permanently. The images will never leave you.

I am attaching a photo of the baby she killed. May we all say a silent prayer that God holds this baby in his arms and that she no longer feels any pain or fear. May she also feel all of our prayers and our love and may she know in her little heart that not all mankind is as evil and cruel as the woman who took her life.

Ok it says she is unlikely to go to prison because the laws here on animal abuse are low grade. she may get community service. She will be treated lightly because she handed herself in and confessed. Basically she won't get anything much. I have seen this hundreds of times. Ibama the environmental agency managed to fine her 3000 reais. (just over 1000 dollars) Not much for a doctor and nurse here. She is basically off scott free from the law, but not the people. They were throwing stones at her apartment windows yesterday. The penal system here doesn't work. The rich always get off. She will too they are middle class and have the money for a decent lawyer. her life has been disrupted that is her only punishment for taking the life of this poor pup. Lets hope Karma comes around and slaps her in the face.

I don't get it. If the person who made the video was a neighbor, how was he/she filming this? It looked like it was filmed from inside the home upstairs.

I hope her son doesn't grow up thinking it's okay to beat up small animals...

According to the stories the woman who filmed it had repeatedly spoken with the family about not abusing the dog. This had happened before to this poor dog and from what I read the nurse had killed another dog. When she confronted the nurse and her husband she was told to mind her own business and that they could do whatever they wanted to their dog and were quite abusive in their response to her. So she filmed in fear and then submitted the abuse to the police and the the papers so it would get out. After the news came out she was confronted by her landlord and others who told her it was trespassing and an infringement of these couples rights. The landlord then went to her hairdressing shop and destroyed items in it and hit her husband and young daughter so badly the daughter had to go to the hospital for treatment. That is why she was scared when filming. As the saying goes no good deed goes unpunished. Very sad.

Gawd, I didnt dare watch the video I just click on the thread to read a few post and hope to read the person responsible got punished. If I would have been the lady filming I couldn't take it. I would have turned on the lady doing the beating. How sad. And did I read someone post she has children? If she is doing this to dogs she is doing it children.

It frightens me to think of the care she gives her patients. I would hate to think a child, an elderly parent, anyone helpless being under her "care"

Be very glad you did not watch the video. As you said the description itself was bad enough.

I suppose that if no one were to ever see this horrendous video nothing would come of what she had done to that poor baby. It is horrible to see what she did to that dog but what that dog went through was even so much worse and there was no one to stop her from inflicting all that pain and anguish on the poor soul. We can at least choose to watch or not and then try to do whatever we can to make sure she pays for what she did. The poor little puppy had no choice in what was done to her. This is why I think it is good it is posted. It was not posted for our amusement I am sure.

There is no way I could watch this entire video. I dont understand how people can be so cruel. we can only imagine how she treats her child. this woman needs to pay for what she has done!!!
