| 8 year old male Hudson poops on rug Our 8 year old male Hudson poops/pees on rug periodically when we go out. Just began a few months ago. Hes always been a good boy about telling us when he wants to go outside. Before we go we always let him outside and then he gets a few Cherrios before we leave. Im stumped! Any ideas? |

| I would not give him free roam of the home when you leave. I would confine him to the kitchen only. They have baby gates you can put up to keep him in one room. Good luck

| For it to be happening suddenly, I'd be wanting a vet check. Just in case it's a health related issue. If it's truly a training issue, I would start over again. Act as if you're potty training a puppy to give him a refresher. Lock in kitchen or small area so he doesn't have access to go potty in places he is not supposed to. How long are you expecting him to hold it during the day?

| Well, looks like all animals have some special love for doing that on the rugs. Omg, my mother has a cat that vomits only on the rug! Basically, her occupation is to run fast and replace the cat on some stone surfaces so that it's easier to clean. Our dog was doing the same. We even called 472 695 074 for an emergency check, but the doctor explained us the symptoms of an illness and we decided together that there is no need for a health check. We had to through that rug away (because he was doing this only on on single rug) and then retrained him with a specialist. And the problem disappeared) |
