Sorry, I'm not familiar enough with xylazine and ketamine to give you any advice. I'd suggest calling some other vets outside your area and hearing what they have to say.
I will give you major props for checking it out, though. I wouldn't have even considered it. There are a lot of health problems that can result from unneutered dogs, so I would encourage you to do it if you find out the anesthesia is OK.
