sounds to me like the shampoo is the problem. go get some of that mane & tail shampoo and conditioner. It is really cheap and it is for animals. be sure to rinse really well because any residue will build up to look and act like dandruff. Mine get a shampoo about every 4 days. maybe a shampoo more often would help too. I don't know, I am just guessing. I know if I dont' shampoo my hair every day I will start itching too. could be the same type of thing I don't know. Head and shoulders is very harsh on even a human head. I would start there and see what happens.
