I agree with everyone else that it will just take a little time. Yes, keep them separated for now until they get used to each other.
My 17 year old toy poodle had a tough time with Tinkerbelle when she came to live with us. She was all over him, and he just wanted to lay around and be loved. None of this roughhousing stuff. After a couple of weeks, they beause best buds and Tink is still looking for him in the morning when she gets up on my bed where Indy used to sleep. He's been gone for two months now and she still looks for him. |
