I have a ceramic flat iron that was like $40 - can't think of the brand at the moment. It's black... I think it's ConAir??? It has never pulled any of my hair out, and I straighten it every day. I've had it for 3 or 4 years and it's still going strong! So I personally just can't justify spendind $100+ for a straightener.
