Hi those of you in Washington State I hope you are well and have had your power restored. If we aren't hearing from those in Wa. it's because of the big storm last thursday night. It knocked out over a million homes and many areas are still not restored. My daughter and her husband live in Bellevue and lost power last thursday. They have been without power, water (had to drain the pipes so they didn't freeze) and phone service (thank god for cell phones) It is 54 degrees in her living room with the fireplace going. The power is still out and they don't know when it will be back-they are hoping to get it up the weekend. My daughter works out there and her office has been restored so she has to go to the office gym, shower and get ready for work. She said her Christmas tree is lasting very well as it's so darn cold in the house and they don't have the power to light it. They are having caffeine withdrawl as they have to heat water on the camp stove and run the water thru the french press for coffee. They are in the process of packing up the car and are going to drive to my daughter's husband's parents for Christmas. So they will be heading from Washington to Wyoming-it's too far here to NJ. If you live along that route please wave to the couple in a suv with Wa plates and a 110 lb dog who loves yorkies-she thinks they are all puppies.. So at least they will be warm, be able to shower and have a decent Christmas. My daughter feels so bad going there with two days clothes and bags of dirty laundry as they have used up all their clean clothes and were unable to wash them. So to my Wa. friends,I hope you are ok and we hope hear from you soon.
