My mom has poodles(2 now, 4 at the most at one time). They are the yappiest dogs! It has sworn everyone off of poodles in the family(of course except for her). My husband had to help her fix a few things and came home that day and told me we will NEVER own one. I think everyone has a favorite breed of dog and you just can't sway them. My sister loves bulldogs, my mom likes poodles and big dogs, I love yorkies...etc.
I know on another thread someone was looking to place a rescue dog because the owner died and family didn't want it. I know people don't understand why family wouldn't want a pet that a loved one owned...but I guarantee you if those poodles outlive mom, they ain't going to any of us.
However, my husbands grandfather had one that he absolutely loved and would take him to get his nails painted-blue because it was a boy. To each their own I guess.
