I'm sorry to hear your husband isn't well but it's great that you have something like this to share...that's where the memories are, good ol' fashioned family fun!
We have been considering several options and I think for now we'll keep our cabin and buy a motorhome to go in when we want. My husband wants a home base so that's what we'll do...and, I don't mind...I really like our cabin! I do want to go where it's warm for the winter though and I'd love to travel the Western states and the East coast...oh, and the Northern Woods and Montana, I love Montana! Oooh, and the Grand Canyon, Lake of the Ozarks, Tennessee...(I think I was supposed to be born in Tennessee but no one told my parents!)...can you tell I just love to travel?

We have a 30 foot 5th wheel and it is fine for the two-three summer months - but I would want something bigger for fulltiming. Unfortunately, we probably will never be able to be fulltimers - my husband's health will preclude that by the time I am able to retire. That's OK though, because we are trying to make the most of the time he has left.
We just love loading our 2 boyz up in the pickup and heading out for an adventure. You won't regret it - I am sure!!! I do enjoy coming home, but it is always so much fun to head out!
We travel with 2 metal X-pens that we can set up together so that the boyz have a place they can run off leash and play. I think they do get tired of being on the leash all the time. They are still young 1 1/2 years and 9 months old - and they have free roam of our backyard - so I think they do miss being free of the leash when we travel.
I love my job and I'm not ready by any stretch to retire, but I do envy those who are retired and can take off any time for as long as they want!
Enjoy! |
