I got Codie (my Maltese) when he was 12 weeks old. Two weeks after that he was fully potty trained but I take no credit for it -- he was VERY smart and caught on immediately! Tia (my Yorkie) took a little longer to potty train. I got her when she was 4 months old. She was fully potty trained by 6 months. She basically learned from Codie. But my Yorkie who passed away, Katie (RIP little angel), was hard to potty train. It looks A LOT of consistency and effort on my part to train her. Your Yorkies are definitely trainable -- sometimes it just takes longer then we expect. Good luck. |
