Hi and welcome! I just got my first yorkie almost two weeks ago. He's 10 weeks old and is already doing very well with his housetraining. Not all yorkies are hard to housebreak, it's just something you have to stick with and be consistent with. There are, of course, those that are harder to train, but I think that can happen with any breed. My little guy is energetic and fun and makes us laugh all the time. He's fun to play with, fun to watch and he's also a real cuddler and loves to be around people. He's a wonderful companion and follows me around the house while I'm doing my housework, and he gets so happy when I stop and play with him, but he's also very content to play by himself with his toys. Yorkies LOVE toys and can keep themselves amused for long periods of time. He has never given me a single moment's trouble since I've had him, he has only brought me lots of joy and happiness. To be honest, even if he did give me trouble, I wouldn't be able to get mad at him.
I waited until my kids were all grown to get a yorkie, and he's the best companion I could ever hope for. So, if that's what you're looking for, a yorkie would be great for you!
