I have a one year old male yorkie that when he was born had to extra stimulation to breathe. It took over 10 minutes to get him to breathe and then he gasped for another 30 minutes before I though he would live. He developed normally, but we noticed that when he was outside he would run and not respond. Thought it was his hearing but he hears noise. He barks at the air like he sees someone standing there when there is no one. He can't remember where the door is to come back inside. I have to go get him and tote him in. He some time cannot remember how to get out of his crate. I have to drag him out. House training has been impossible so he is either outside or in his crate. He also holds his tounge out like it is too big for his mouth. He is very pretty, baby doll face and huge eyes but has no interest in females. I believe he was brain damaged due to the lack of oxygen at birth. |
