We had a collie that we rescued. He had been neglected and abused. As a result of his severe head injury he was deaf and had seizures. When he died it broke our hearts because we didn't think we had had him long enough. (only 3 years) We wanted to help him more and give him all the love he missed before we adopted him. We could tell that he appreciated us and tried harder to please us than any dog I've ever owned before or since. I taught him sign language and we used different techniques to get his attention like flicking light switches, tapping on the floor and even tapping him in different places. Anyway - as you can see he was special.

Now I swear he comes back to visit. He used to sit beside the bed and just stare at me in the morning before I woke up. Once I opened my eyes he was all over me. A lot of mornings now I will start to regain consciousness and almost feel him breathing in my face. I know that if I open my eyes he will be there. The two dogs I have now often (both at the same time) stare at the same place in the room - right about collie face high. I have even felt something brush against my legs but when I look there is nothing there.

Has anyone else had experiences like these?

My friends moved into their new home...and have "visits" all the time from a medium sized Black Lab...they feels its breath on her face in the morning...or she'll look and there is dog in the doorway...and then he's gone...its spooky! And they are the biggest Skeptics I know!
