Miko has an intrahepatic liver shunt, and his bile acid test results were sky high also. His shunt was inoperable, so he is on meds and a prescription low protein diet that comes only from soy/vegetable. He is doing great with it, and he loves it. He used to be a very picky eater, but now he eats Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Hepatic LS. I would definitely tell your vet to prescribe a food for your furbaby because I dont think just feeding broccoli is enough. The diet that Miko is on is specific for his condition, it has increased zinc and other things that are important for the liver problems that he has.
