It's possible that the breeder lied but I just recently talked to someone who bred their dog, she is 1.6 kgs and father is 2.0 kgs. There was only one puppy born and puppy is already over 2 kgs at 15 weeks. Both parents' parents, grandparents and greatgrandparents were tiny
so throwbacks to many generations back is possible albeit rare.
