Good article. Thanks. I'm hoping that 2 weeks isn't considered an extensive delay. My darling hubby said “it's Huey. If you told me we were having surgery here tomorrow I would say fine. If you told me to pack my bags we're canceling vacation and driving home to have surgery in 2 days, I would say okay. When it comes to the dog, whatever he needs, we will do." How sweet is that? Of course, if the vet had said this was very urgent & didn't need to wait 2 weeks, we would be doing it tomorrow. I just feel better having his surgery and follow-up where we live, not 11 hours away by car.
