If your girl is going into heat now make sure you keep her away from all male dogs. A male dog can smell a female in heat up to 3 miles away. Heat cycle last appox. 3 weeks. One week coming into heat, one week in heat and one week to come out of heat. After she is finished with her heat cycle she can be spayed. Ask your vet how long after she is finished can she be spayed. I believe it's 2 weeks but ask your vet. Females should be spayed before first heat cycle which is usually at 6 months old. Please keep her on leash and away from male dogs, she is to young to have puppies.
