 Tooth Problems
I took my little guy to the vet to have his teeth cleaned and when I picked him up they had extracted 6 teeth. I really like my vet a lot, and when I asked for an explanation they said first, it's really difficult to see tooth problems in small breeds until they are knocked out. They just squirm around too much to see what's what in a regular checkup. Next they said they found gum problems, loose teeth and some abscess which is what required the extractions. They also said it's a problem with the breed and he is getting older. He's 6!
So, my questions is does this sound kosher? It's my first dog ever and I love the little guy like crazy. FYI, that was two days ago and he's doing just fine back to his normal self. Any thoughts are welcome. |
