So I took him to the vet this morning and he became quite aggressive in the waiting room (which isn't like him). He's usually very anxious at the vet, which he was, but added on aggressiveness. I know this is a sign he is in pain. His regular vet saw him (which I love because she's great and thorough). She doesn't think its his teeth, although she says they are pretty crummy looking. She felt around and his tummy was quite sensitive. He let our a few yelps when she poked around. She suggested x-rays and complete blood work. My dog did so well! She mentioned pancreatitis or hepatitis. All the blood work came back great and the X-ray didn't show any obstructions. She did a rectal exam and said he had quite a bit in his colon and lots of gas in his belly. She says he is in quite a bit of pain in his stomach. They gave him some hydration, some anti nausea medicine and some pain medicine via injection. They sent me home with antacids, antibiotics and pain medicine. I gave him his first dose of antibiotics (clavamox) and he threw up a little bit of yellow (bile?) 4 hours later. Made him some chicken and rice and he refuses to eat. I called the vet back and she said he might be so nauseous coupled with the strong antibiotics which caused vomit. She suggested I give him another dose along with some baby food if possible and see how he tolerates. I guess he was running a fever as well so still not comfortable with the fact that he is sick and we don't know whats going on.

Vet says his open mouth and excessive drooling is most likely from pain and nausea. Hoping this clears up because I miss my little hyper buddy running around.

Any experience with Clavamox? I read its notorious for causing vomiting.
