So he is eating, drinking and going to the bathroom, just not as regularly as he does. I suspect his teeth are bothering him. He ended up having a decent amount of water yesterday that made me comfortable to wait u til his regular vet opens this morning, but he hasn't had anything for about 12 hours now. I gave him a pretty rigid treat yesterday and he seemed to enjoy it albeit slowly. Today I wanted to entice him to come out of his crate with a cookie and he took it but wasn't his giddy self. He peed - very yellow. I suspect a little dehydration so I'm going to ask the vet to give him some hydration.
What can the vet do for him right now? I need to get the dental done but j I assume it might be a little wait (this is a large pet hospital). Any of your pups have dental issues? I'm worried he might lose all his teeth and his personality change. I've heard some horror stories although I don't have much of a choice. I'm hoping they can give him some pain medicine and maybe some antibiotics should an infection be lurking. This weekend has been so stressful - 1 hour til the vet opens! |
