I predict they'll become best friends. This is based on many years ago, in the 1980s, when I took a Maltese female puppy home for my cranky 8 year old mixed breed, Dudley, to cope with. Dudley was difficult, allowed by his breeder to come home with me at 7 weeks old. This was decades before I was to take an interest in breeding. The internet, and easy availability of the information we have access to today weren't invented yet. Due to his circumstances, Dudley was a "special needs" case. Bringing that 5 months old Maltese puppy was the best thing that ever happened to him. His personality blossomed and he absolutely thrived with the addition of this puppy to the household. He lived to almost 18 years of age. My interest in Yorkies started with his passing.
