My vet told me this could happen and also told me that chipping would hurt. So, I guess I have the benefit of being forearmed re: expectations. However, the benefits of chipping far outweigh any temporary discomfort (mentally, emotionally, physically), so I will absolutely get Teddy chipped despite the possibility of blood etc. That doesn't mean I won't faint, though!
