We're getting out own taste of winter here tonight and tomorrow. A Winter Storm Warning has been issued for Dallas County and a huge section of its surrounding counties, with up to 1/2 - 1" of ice expected here so everything is announcing TONIGHT that they are closed tomorrow. I think we already have something like 400+ schools in the area announced as closed tomorrow and only now are some of the bridges getting icy spots! North Texas just doesn't "do" ice and snow without shuttering the windows, drawing in our sidewalks and hunkering down for the next 24 like the snow is 3 feet deep!
Poor little Tibbe had to go potty in the pouring, freezing rain a while ago - I felt so bad for him. Water just pouring off the roof in sheets and he held back for a second or two, then darted right through it and out. Then, after going, he kind of lingered around in no hurry at all to get inside again in that freezing rain! He was soaked by the time he got in. With no weatherproof or double coat, any water does a quick soak job on him. This would be a BAD night for a little Yorkie to door-dart and try to run off!
