Welcome to YT, thank you for rescuing lil Hippie, does he come withy eyes & nose lol, he's a furry lil kido. So what you have done is come from bully breed to big time attitude breed, one that will capture your heart. I also have a resuce, but not new to the breed, new to rescues that come with baggage. Baggage that you will never know of. Patience, kindness, understanding, accepting what cannot / may not be able to change. Speak to him in gentle tones. He needs time to gain trust in you, trust that you will not cause harm to him. Sofiekatesmom gave good advise, vet visit asap is a must. Do not get discouraged if it takes him time to show no more fear of you. These little rescue babies have no voice, cannot tell you what they went through. Now that I'm all home, bathed, settled and fed,

I'd like to open my baggage lest I forget,
There is so much to carry, so much to regret.

And there by my leash hides Fear and Shame,
As I look on these things I tried so hard to leave,
I still have to unpack my baggage called Pain.

I loved them, the others, the ones who left me,
But I wasn't good enough; for they didn't want me.
