Should I be worried about her now thinking that it's okay to pee inside of her crate? Or should I think of this as a one-time incident that won't have future repercussions for her potty training? |
How old is she? Once a dog does something, they may repeat it but eventually she will be housebroken anyway if your training schedule is kept up, despite her accidents. It can take well over a year to totally have a dog well-trained enough to have free run of the house w/out any accidents. What I'd be more concerned about is her peeing from fear and hope that doesn't continue as she grows up. You might Google stress urination and read all you can on the subject so you can be prepared to handle it if she pees from fear outside her crate anywhere she is. Anticipating the problem and having her sit or lie down prior to things that tend her scare or worry her - things like that - will help her avoid the problem. And Google how to build a dog's self confidence and work on those things with her. Those kinds of exercises and obedience training will help her be a far less anxious and fearful dog.
