And I can't stress this enough--the reason they feed this stuff to rats to determine potential adverse reactions is because it's unethical to do these tests on humans, and too expensive to do these tests on dogs. The extrapolation of the results of tests done on rats to potential effects on humans is done all the time in the drug testing industry...
