Diet is a factor that can help increase eye discharge. Keeping the area clean and dry will help cut down on the red yeast that tends to grow in the damp areas under the eye.

Angle Eyes does contain an antibiotic agent that some vets advise against using on a regular basis. Some people have had success with it but vet's question the soundness of having a pet using an antibiotic on a day to day basis.

We feed Gracie a really good brand of commercial raw dog food and she gets filtered or distilled water to drink. We rarely have tearing except when someone slips her something to eat that she is not supposed to have.

They do sell some all natural eye wipes that will help you clean the area regularly. Always be sure to use a dry cloth on the area when done cleaning. I would be very careful about using chemicals around your dog's eye area.
