Well, there's Richard Sherman type ranting and responsible ranting using responsible language and logic with a purpose to it. Actually, my ranting was really straight talk that is pointing out a very serious problem of lack of responsibility that so many of our dog owners have and stressing that the dogs are the ones to pay the ultimate price for it with millions of them ultimately killed each year by the State. I'd say it's worth a little ranting or straight talk or whatever you want to call it if it causes some to think twice before they buy that next dog or their fourth dog. Perhaps we need more people to ask more of our dog owners and discuss with them where they missed it when they surrender a dog. I would never condone guilting them or berating them but they do need someone to point out some things to them upon surrender of a dog due to its poor behavior, poor bowel habits, too many dogs, barking or inconvenience to their lives or their lack of planning to try to keep them from repeating the same thing in the future. We have way too many throw-away dogs and it's so sad.
