Bella was frisky with excitement right after I brought her home from her spay, but she calmed down quickly and rested quietly. My vet also sent me home with only a two day supply of pain killer. Since she was still feeling discomfort on the third day, the vet gave me more pain killer (the Metacam liquid pre-measured in syringes to squirt into her mouth), but she only needed it for one more day and then she was back to her normal self. It was difficult to keep her inactive for the full two week period. We did not bathe her during that time, nor did we have her groomed. (We had her groomed a couple of days before surgery.) Let us know how Missy is doing this morning! |
