TO AtlYorkie...

I know the thread totally got off topic the last couple of pages, but SophiekatesMom made you a really great offer a few pages ago to help you find a pup. She lives in same city as you...maybe she could help you out.

If you are going to buy a pup instead of rescuing it, and throw down a bunch of cash for it, you might as well get the best you can for your money.

If you buy a pup from a pet store or a bad breeder, you could end up spending lots of money down the road on vet bills...or you could end up having a pup who dies earlier in life because of all it's health problems.

Finding a good breeder can definitely be hard, especially when there are so many bad ones out there. Even when you are rescuing, finding the right pup can be a long process. I was looking around for a year to find my most recent rescue.

Have you checked out petfinder.com??

It's too bad you didn't live closer to me...I am constantly stalking petfinder and I see great dogs on there all of the time!!
