My neighbor's Yorkie has stayed blue but he's much more a traditional Yorkie than Tibbe. He's got a doggier face, is quite sturdy. But my Tibbe(6 lbs.) and my Jilly(3 lbs.), who both are/were smaller and more petite, have a more juvenile-looking over-all appearance and are distantly related, went gray beginning at about 10 months give or take. Tibbe gets very light on his back/torso in the summer though the roots there look quite dark. Still, his over all look on his body has been gray for most of his life. My first Yorkie, Scotty, stayed quite blue all of his life and he was only a tad over 3 lbs. as an adult.
