Although, you may have only let her be bred one time, you do not know how many litters she has had prior to coming to you. What kind of stress has her body been under? You said you only intended to do this once, but you obviously are interested in money because you were asking how much to sell the pups for. You described her as a rescue. Ask yourself what she was rescued from (breeding). So, yes, you are part of the over breeding epidemic. You can not undo this, but you can have your puppies spayed/neutered as well as both parents. I realize that right now you are feeling terrible. You did this in ignorance, but now you have the opportunity to be educated. Love the two dogs you currently have, but do not let them breed again. Let her retire from breeding and be your wonderful, loyal pet.
