Trust me, I know. I consider myself very new at it too. I know I sure don't have all the answers. I think (and I don't mean this poster, just in general) that when some come on here and talk about how they are going to breed and others who have put YEARS into what they do and know SO much read things that are basic compared to what they've seen and it's something they feel everyone should be knowledgable about, it is frustrating. Especially when it seems to come up over and over and over. Like when someone says, "I think my dog is pregnant, what do I do?" Arrrrrrrg! You want to say, "you find this out BEFORE you let it happen!"
I think too many are on edge. I have seen a "group" referred to here before, and I can only assume I am part of this "group." (you know us, drink the Yorkie blood, dance around the Boom-Boom tree...which is NOT a private joke, BTW...it was quite public the first time it was mentioned) I always seem to be in the middle of the controversy. Why? Because if I feel strongly about something, I am not one to keep my mouth shut. Trust me, this gets me in trouble more than just on here! I think that if everyone can remember that everyone here has what THEY FEEL is the best in mind for this little furballs, we just don't all agree. I just know it is hard to sit by and watch others come and ask for advice on a breeder they're considering or on what they plan to do, and then when they get advice, they get mad and upset and threaten to leave. Then others feel like they have to come in and defend them, which makes one side madder, and blah blah blah. Silly, really isn't it?
OK, well, sorry I took over this thread for a minute, but it HAD to be said.
Anyway, to the Original Poster, good luck w/ your problem. I lucked out--no retained teeth here. Looks to me like you pretty much are already well aware of your options. You just have to figure out which is the most important to YOU and go from there. And please, those you've gotten advice from are very good and very experienced at what they do. Please look over the info they've forwarded you...it's not going to hurt, just teach you even more since you are obviously still learning. Remember, YOU decide whether or not to take the advice or not--that is what you should focus on.
