As some of you already know, Lana (we have renamed Anna) is my newly adopted 6 year old from a shelter. Her history is a little sketchy. She was used as a breeder and lived most of her life in a cage. She is adapting very well to our house. We are even getting the potty training down. However, when my husband comes near me, she has a fit. She lets him hold her and plays with him some if I am out of the room. But when my husband tries to come near me, she barks and growls. She even nipped him today. He is very good natured about it. What can we do to get her over this? I am afraid it's going to get worse if we don't address it.
