Ha...that last pic is sooo cute, where he's completely snuggled down in his carseat! I can see why he feels secure in his basket style seat.
I have the same kind as your first pic, the PetGear seat, and you're right, it's not deep, but the sides are sturdy (unlike the Snoozer) and ZoE loves standing in the seat with the front paws on the edge to she can see out better.
