I was thinking exactly the same thing!
ZoE is always strapped in her carseat when in the car. The tether is long enough that she can get her head to the window, but there is no way she could get out of the window.
I drive with the windows down, or at least partially down, as long as the weather is fine & the wind isn't blowing too hard. I also almost always drive with the sunroof open....I hate feeling couped up in a car.
