That's a lot of money. Upfront costs can be heavy but $850 is too much. Save this money for shots and vet bills! Also, have you considered using a playpen instead of crate? We got our puppy at 12 weeks old and both of us work 9+ each day. Play pen was our savior. We leave our Milana with bed, toys, food, and pee pad in her play pen, and she is doing fine. She can play, eat, and potty whenever she needs to; plus she is in confined area, so we don't have to worry about her pottying on carpet and damaging furniture.
By the way, some will disagree about leaving a puppy for 9+ hours by herself, but for most people these days it's unrealistic to have it otherwise. Our puppy does fine by being alone during that time, and we give her a lot of attention in the evenings. |
