My Gracie was a very picky eater as a puppy. It does help to have another animal around that wants the food. It makes for some competition for food.

Your pup is very under weight. Did your vet suggest a high calorie diet to help him? He needs a nutricious puppy food in order to form healthy bones, teath and organs. Salmon is fine but he needs other nutritional sources in order to be healthy. Maybe mix the salmon in with his puppy food. A healthy diet will prevent health problems later on.
