Suzi was spayed and had a dental on Wednesday. She is doing very well, today is her best day so far. however with one expection, She has a little soft toy frog that is her favorite toy, for the past few days she caries the toy in her mouth and runs around crying or whining with it. She will come into the family room and cirle the coffee table, back in one of the bedrooms, and does it again and again the whining, the whole time carring her frog. She hasdone this once before, however she was not spayed then, and I thought she was acting like the frog was her 'puppy" But she is spayed? Is it her hormones out of whack due to the spay? I feel bad for her, and a few time she has gotten growling at me, when I checked her insision, I pet and try to comfort her. But she is acting like a momma dog with this toy, so I am a little confused by this behavior . She just had her last dose of paim med today , and will be taking her antibiotics twice a day until gone. I do not know how to help her feel better. She is, however gaining back her energy, and I have to keep her out of my sons bedroom, his bed is too high and she should nt be jumping right now, so she is upset about that too. Any ideas?
