Hi!

Ruger had his surgery on Friday. It went perfectly, no complications. Apparently he was cuddled and held most of the day - when I phoned at lunch to check on him he was sleeping in a tech's lap.

Both vets looked at the testicles and there were absolutely normal, only a bit bigger then usual. They weren't sent off for a biopsy.

Now we're dealing with a whole new set of problems. His first cone was too small and he could reach a raw spot. The next one is a bit too big and he can get his lower jaw under it. He did this while we were out today and when we came back he was calm and in his bed but freaked out after.

So we have him in a baby onesie right now, with a hole for his tail. We're going to see how it goes, and if we can fix his cone to make it safer. I don't want him in two weeks of misery but I want everything to heal perfectly.

Thanks for asking.
